Hiring Policy

Most employment actions are handled by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's "State Civil Service Commission" [SCSC]. Interested persons should visit the SCSC's website and complete the application process as described. In addition to this, interested persons should also complete and submit HACC's Application form.

The Authority will evaluate the qualifications of each applicant and conduct a selection process for potential employees in a fair and consistent manner. Candidates for job openings will be selected on the basis of merit, ability, competence, experience, and satisfactory employment and character references.

Applicants providing false information during any stage of the employment process may be denied employment. The potential candidate will have to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test. In addition, a criminal background check will be performed.
